Who: Open to everyone, family friendly
Where: Pop-up events, community group rides, slow roll using bike lanes, multi-use paths or quiet streets, 4-15 km
When: Once a month

Dirt Girls
Who: Women’s only MTB ride. This group is not for true beginners and participants must have a base level of fitness as well as know the basics of mountain biking. The rides break into groups depending on energy level, desired pace, and/or skill level.
Where: On various local MTB trails, 8-15 km
When: Tuesdays at 6 pm
Follow Freewheel Cycle on Instagram or call Freewheel Cycle shop for information on rides. Eventbrite is used to sign up for rides.
Durand Rides
Who: For advanced/elite road riders
Where: Rides leave from Durand Coffee, average pace of 35-40 km/hr and a distance of 45 km or 2 hours.
When: Thursdays at 6 pm during the summer months
This is an unaffiliated and unsanctioned ride with officially no organizer. For more details follow Durand Rides on Instagram.
Tour de Cafe
Who: Womens only road ride. Rides are for all levels of riders with a specific emphasis on beginner/new riders and cycling safety.
Where: This is a 10-15 km ride from New Hope Community Bikes with a coffee stop
When: Typically every other Sunday starting at 8 am

MTB Exchange
Who: A women’s mountain bike group that has rides all over Ontario. You need to have an Ontario cycling membership, and participants should have a mountain bike and have a base level of skill and fitness. Most events have a range of abilities from beginner to advanced.
Where: Rides are various lengths 10-25km depending on the group levels and the location

Pedals and Pints
Who: All riders with base level fitness welcome. This ride is mainly gravel, paths, and calm roads.
Where: The usual start and finish is at a local brewery. This ride has a party pace of 18-22 km/hr and usually covers 40-60 km with an average time of 2-4 hrs.
When: Rides typically occur on weekends with a late morning starts

Cycle Burlington
Who: Cycle Burlington is a large ride community where people can post rides on their platforms for rides within the greater Burlington/Hamilton area. Fellow members can join if interested in the ride. Rides are intended to be inclusive, "no-drop" rides for individuals to join. Most people post rides for 18-25 km at ‘party pace’.

Ancaster Velo
Who: Group rides are for all people and will often break into 4 rides that vary in distance covered, pace, and ride levels
Where: Group rides leave from Ancaster Rotary Community Center at 385 Jerseyville Rd. W. Ancaster
When: Rides are Tuesday/Thursday at 6pm and Saturday/Sunday 9am from May-September or 10am in April

Freewheel Intermediate MTB
Who: A social mountain bike group for intermediate to advanced riders
Where: Average distance covered is 15-30 km, leaving from Freewheel Cycle (or other locations on occasion)
When: Typically Thursdays at 6/6:30 pm and arriving back at Freewheel at 8/9 pm

Queer Biking Hamilton
Who: A safe space for queers interested in biking and the outdoors.
Connect with the group on Instagram for ride details like locations, pace, time, etc.
Cycle Hamilton
Who: Cycle Hamilton coordinates pop-up events, community group rides that are open to all people and at a conversational, social pace. No bike, no worries, as you can grab a bike share bike. You don’t need to be part of the bike share to join the rides.

Tour de MTB
Who: A women's beginner mountain bike group. This group is open for all female riders but will focus skill development for new mountain bike riders and beginners.
Where: Most rides will be at Christie Lake Conservation area and opportunity to car pool will be an option for each ride.
