Adam will cover a range of essential things to know when climbing, including: Gear selection and when to shift, body position, pedal stroke and foot position, hand position and upper body engagement. The session will also include some heavy gear drills and low gear drills and will help you to find the ideal cadence to crush the hills!

We've had a number of requests to support adults in learning to ride a bicycle. Join us Saturday, July 27th from 9:30-11:00 am for a 'learn to ride' for adults (18 years of age and older). We will be meeting at New Hope Community Bike Shop in the back alleyway and making our way over to Gage park to work on riding skills.

This workshop is for individuals who have never learned to ride a bike. We will discuss helmet safety, balancing, pedaling, straight line riding and braking.

Cycling is a great activity that provides opportunity for transportation, recreation, and contributes to wellness. This will be a no-pressure, fun environment. You can participate to the extent that you feel comfortable, whether that is observing, asking questions, or hopping on a bike and giving it a try! Register here as space will be limited to 4 participants. Bring your own bike (BYOB) and helmet (helmets are mandatory), if you do not have one, let us know and one can be provided. We suggest that you also wear comfortable clothes for moving and bring a water bottle. Register HERE
